The Moskovsky Rail Terminal (until 1924 — Nikolaevsky) is the main rail terminal of Saint-Petersburg. Its building located at the Vosstaniya Square was built in 1851 upon the project of K. Thon. It is similar to the Leningradsky Rail Terminal in Moscow (until 1924 — Nikolaevsky) built upon the Thon's project either. In the early 1950s and in 1967 the interiors of the station have been rebuilt upon the project of V. Kuznetsov. In the early 2000s the rail terminal has been renovated once again and it was equipped with an automatic local passengers payment control system.
